About the position

The Men's Volleyball Coach at Oklahoma Wesleyan University is responsible for leading the volleyball program, which includes recruiting student-athletes, scheduling games and practices, and managing the program's budget. The role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to the university's Christian values. The coach will also monitor the academic progress of student-athletes and promote community support for the program.

Responsibilities

• Recruit student-athletes to meet designated quotas.
• Track and submit all statistical data related to the sport.
• Verify and pay travel expense reports.
• Schedule all games and practices for the volleyball program.
• Make travel accommodations for the team.
• Monitor the academic progress of student-athletes.
• Sponsor and promote activities to grow community support.
• Track scholarships on an annual basis.
• Support the spiritual growth of student-athletes.
• Operate the program within the university's framework and guidelines.

Requirements

• Experience in coaching volleyball at a competitive level.
• Strong organizational and management skills.
• Ability to work independently and with limited oversight.
• Knowledge of NCCAA/NAIA rules and regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Experience in recruiting student-athletes.
• Familiarity with budget management in an athletic context.
