About the position

Stryker is seeking a Microbiologist to join our Global Quality Operations team in Arlington, TN. This role involves performing sterility release reviews, interpreting data and trends, and identifying opportunities for process improvements to enhance cost savings and compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform environmental monitoring of cleanrooms for viable air, viable surface, and particulate in line with ISO 14644 standards.
• Monitor utilities including all grades of water and compressed air as necessary.
• Coordinate samples for bioburden and endotoxin testing.
• Interpret sampling and monitoring data, applying statistical analysis techniques to determine control and trending.
• Order consumables and general stock for day-to-day laboratory operations.
• Apply cGLP to all laboratory activities including stock control.
• Perform sampling for validations and re-qualifications as required.
• Review validation files for compliance.
• Maintain strong interactions and support with sterility suppliers.
• Lead NC and CAPA generation and resolution within the Microbiology group and across related business units.
• Troubleshoot and correct NC and conduct root cause analysis.
• Act as a subject matter expert to local procedures and contribute to the development and maintenance of policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Science, Engineering or related field
• 0+ years of experience
