About the position

The Growth Lead for Military Health and Veterans Affairs at LMI is a pivotal role focused on expanding the company's portfolio within military health and veterans affairs sectors. This position involves identifying, qualifying, and winning business opportunities, particularly with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and the Defense Health Agency (DHA). The role requires a strategic approach to business development, leveraging insights into market trends and customer needs to drive growth and enhance LMI's offerings in this critical area.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and qualify a high-quality pipeline of opportunities within military health and veterans affairs.
  • Conduct thorough research on industry trends, competitor landscape, and potential customer segments.
  • Cultivate strategic partnerships to expand market reach and access new customer segments.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with key decision-makers at prospective clients and partners.
  • Communicate market intelligence back to LMI stakeholders to inform solutions and opportunity selection.
  • Identify and prioritize targets of opportunity for LMI within military health and veterans affairs.
  • Collaborate with LMI's matrixed organization to position for and capture opportunities.
  • Design and implement account plans to articulate strategic vision and action plans.
  • Develop and implement call plans to engage customers and shape opportunities.
  • Support capture and proposal efforts to maintain continuity across the business development lifecycle.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in business development activities related to military health and veterans affairs.
  • Strong record of business results in the military health and veterans affairs consulting space.
  • Familiarity with key domains such as medical readiness, medical logistics, and supply chain management.
  • Deep understanding of military health and veterans affairs clients and stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves

  • Specialized training in business development.
