About the position
The Morning Call is seeking an independent contractor to manage a newspaper delivery service in the greater Easton, PA area and parts of New Jersey. This role involves owning and operating a delivery service for The Morning Call newspaper and its partners, focusing on customer service and efficient delivery operations.
Responsibilities
- Own and manage a newspaper delivery service for The Morning Call and its partners.
- Perform deliveries to homes and retail outlets in the designated areas.
- Coordinate distribution center operations and manage independently contracted newspaper carriers.
- Address customer service situations and financial obligations as they arise.
- Negotiate delivery fees with The Morning Call management and delivery providers.
- Ensure timely deliveries by adhering to deadlines, operating 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a delivery driver with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift newspaper bundles and handle the physical demands of the job.
- Strong customer service skills to ensure customer satisfaction.
