Responsibilities
- Manage appointments and prep patients for the operating room (OR).
- Monitor anesthesia and assist during various procedures including CT and MRI.
- Perform venipuncture and IV catheter placement.
- Calculate and administer medications accurately.
- Provide outstanding client communication and education during patient appointments.
- Maintain a calm and efficient demeanor in high-stress situations.
- Work collaboratively with team members to foster a positive work environment.
- Lift and move patients as necessary, adhering to safety protocols.
Requirements
- Prior experience in veterinary specialty medicine.
- Ability to perform venipuncture and IV catheter placement.
- Experience with medication calculations and administration.
- Familiarity with digital radiography and patient prep and recovery.
- Knowledge of anesthesia monitoring for various procedures.
- Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Physical ability to stand, bend, lift, and kneel for the duration of a shift.
Nice-to-haves
- Certification as a Veterinary Technician or license-eligible candidates preferred.
