About the position

The Project Manager will oversee new business project coordination for the Northern California utilities team, focusing on the installation of new gas and electric facilities. This role involves customer contact, billing, and contract preparation, ensuring projects are planned and executed effectively while adhering to safety and compliance standards. The position requires collaboration with various departments and stakeholders to manage project scope, schedule, and costs, while also maintaining clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate new business projects for gas and electric facilities.
• Ensure compliance with safety and state standards during project execution.
• Prepare field sketches and layouts for construction scoping.
• Manage project scope, schedule, and costs from initiation to completion.
• Coordinate with various departments to define project objectives and responsibilities.
• Monitor project schedules and prioritize work accordingly.
• Conduct pre-engineering and pre-construction meetings to address potential risks.
• Communicate project status to all stakeholders and facilitate dispute resolution.
• Prepare contracts ensuring compliance with standards and tariffs.
• Proactively manage customer expectations and negotiate project timelines.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction, Project Management, Business or related field required.
• At least three years of experience as a Project Manager or in a senior level role.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification desired.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Ability to define efficient approaches to data collection and analysis.
