About the position
The Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) will work in a school setting in Bellaire, TX, providing services to school-age students from grades K-12. This role is essential for supporting students with speech and language needs, ensuring they receive the necessary assistance to thrive in their educational environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide speech and language services to students in grades K-12.
- Assist in the implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Support students with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) needs.
- Document student progress and report to supervising Speech-Language Pathologists.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1+ years of speech therapy experience required.
- Active or pending state SLPA license is necessary.
Nice-to-haves
- Previous school experience is preferred.
- Exposure to IEP and AAC processes is preferred.
