About the position
The Night Auditor at Shamin Hotels is responsible for performing end-of-day accounting tasks and managing overnight front desk duties. This role involves assisting late-night guests, processing check-ins and check-outs, and addressing customer requests while ensuring the accuracy of daily financial activities through auditing and reconciliation.
Responsibilities
- Perform all audit procedures as set forth by the Hotel and company on a daily basis.
- Prepare and attribute all required audit reports.
- Verify the status of all wake-up call requests and ensure they are properly handled.
- Balance all cash receipts and work performed during the audit shift.
- Prepare the front office for the A shift and reset days business.
- Act as a Guest Service representative during the night time hours.
- Serve as the manager on duty during the night time hours.
- Attend and actively participate in all front office meetings.
- Participate in all training and cross training programs.
- Act as PBX operator during the audit shift.
- Assist breakfast attendants by setting up breakfast areas as needed.
- Perform other related duties as required.
- Greet guests in a friendly and warm manner.
- Report to work for scheduled shifts, on time and in uniform in accordance with company policy.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED certification or equivalent experience preferred.
- Bachelor's Degree and/or equivalent experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
- Basic reading, writing, and math skills required.
- 1-2 years of hotel front desk or night auditor experience preferred.
- Customer service skills required.
- Financial management skills required.
- Brand systems knowledge preferred.
