About the position

The Night Auditor is responsible for ensuring guest satisfaction by addressing their needs before, during, and after their stay. This role involves preparing end-of-day paperwork, managing guest check-ins and check-outs, and maintaining a high level of service and communication with guests and team members.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and organize all night audit reports, including outlet receipts and PMS reports.
  • Perform all Front Office assigned functions to enhance guest experience.
  • Anticipate and respond promptly to guest needs, acknowledging all guests regardless of time.
  • Manage the check-in/check-out process for all guests.
  • Maintain a comprehensive database of guest history and preferences.
  • Provide quality service by responding to guests and team members courteously and efficiently.
  • Ensure guest and co-worker safety by being knowledgeable of crisis and emergency procedures.
  • Complete opening and closing checklists as required.
  • Facilitate inter-departmental communication to improve guest satisfaction.
  • Stay informed about hotel procedures by attending pre-shift and departmental meetings.
  • Maintain high standards of guest retention and satisfaction scores.
  • Keep work and public areas neat and tidy at all times.
  • Maintain a professional appearance according to hotel standards.
  • Achieve the hotel's core competencies including teamwork, guest service, and problem-solving.

Requirements

  • Minimum two years experience in a Guest Services position with a full-service hotel.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Attention to detail and ability to perform job functions with speed and accuracy.
  • Ability to remain calm and resolve problems using good judgment.
  • Effective teamwork skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Property Management Systems.
  • Good reading, writing, and oral proficiency in English.
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules, including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds independently and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
  • Ability to stand for the entire shift.
