About the position

The Nurse Practitioner in Rheumatology at Temple Faculty Practice is responsible for providing advanced nursing care and evaluating patients within a specialized clinical area. This role involves diagnosing conditions, prescribing medical therapeutics in collaboration with licensed physicians, and ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment that prioritizes patient needs and comfort.

Responsibilities

  • Treat and evaluate patients in the rheumatology specialty.
  • Administer advanced nursing care and perform a variety of patient care activities.
  • Diagnose conditions and prescribe medical therapeutics under physician direction.
  • Contribute to a safe and therapeutic environment centered on patient needs.
  • Demonstrate ethical and professional care considering patients' diverse backgrounds.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing (Required).
  • Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited Nursing program (Required).
  • 2 years of experience as a nurse practitioner (Preferred).
  • 1 year of experience in a clinical specialty practice (Preferred).
  • 1 year of outpatient/ambulatory experience (Preferred).
  • Experience in an EPIC environment (Preferred).
  • CRNP - PA Cert Reg Nurse Practitioner (Required).
  • RN-LIC - PA Registered Nurse License (Required).
  • BLS - Basic Life Support (Required).
