About the position
The Nurse Practitioner in Rheumatology at Temple Faculty Practice is responsible for providing advanced nursing care and evaluating patients within a specialized clinical area. This role involves diagnosing conditions, prescribing medical therapeutics in collaboration with licensed physicians, and ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment that prioritizes patient needs and comfort.
Responsibilities
- Treat and evaluate patients in the rheumatology specialty.
- Administer advanced nursing care and perform a variety of patient care activities.
- Diagnose conditions and prescribe medical therapeutics under physician direction.
- Contribute to a safe and therapeutic environment centered on patient needs.
- Demonstrate ethical and professional care considering patients' diverse backgrounds.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing (Required).
- Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited Nursing program (Required).
- 2 years of experience as a nurse practitioner (Preferred).
- 1 year of experience in a clinical specialty practice (Preferred).
- 1 year of outpatient/ambulatory experience (Preferred).
- Experience in an EPIC environment (Preferred).
- CRNP - PA Cert Reg Nurse Practitioner (Required).
- RN-LIC - PA Registered Nurse License (Required).
- BLS - Basic Life Support (Required).
