About the position

The Off Hours Scheduler plays a crucial role in ensuring that clients' care needs are met promptly and consistently. This position involves collaborating with caregivers and other departments to manage scheduling effectively, particularly during off-hours, weekends, and holidays. The scheduler is responsible for maintaining communication with clients and caregivers, updating schedules, and ensuring a seamless transition between regular and on-call operations.

Responsibilities

• Fill scheduling requests quickly and independently, matching caregivers to client needs.
• Provide timely and effective responses to clients and caregivers' needs.
• Process time-off requests through the scheduling manager to ensure coverage.
• Email the Home Care Team each morning after on-call to relay time-sensitive information.
• Update schedules and document appropriately in the software system.
• Communicate schedule changes and tardiness to clients and caregivers.
• Escalate issues appropriately as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality of all information pertaining to employees and clients.
• Provide seamless transition of support between business hours and on-call hours.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-year recent experience as an Off Hours Scheduler in a home care agency or other healthcare field.
• Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent telephone and customer service skills.
• Attention to detail, organizational skills, and flexibility.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
