About the position

The OnSite Specialist at Stryker is responsible for providing clinical surgical support by managing relevant equipment and anticipating the needs of the operating room (O.R.) staff and surgeons during surgical procedures. This role involves troubleshooting and maintaining Stryker equipment, collaborating with various medical personnel, and ensuring high levels of service at the account. The position requires a strong knowledge base of surgical equipment and procedures, as well as the ability to analyze and resolve product issues independently.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical surgical support by managing all relevant equipment.
  • Anticipate device needs of the O.R. staff and surgeon during surgical procedures.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain Stryker equipment and related devices.
  • Collaborate with surgeons, O.R. personnel, and biomedical staff.
  • Maintain knowledge of equipment and disposable products through training programs.
  • Provide information on new and current products to physicians and O.R. personnel.
  • Accurately record and report data metrics related to job functions monthly.
  • Maintain up-to-date account information for high service levels.
  • Record and report all surgical procedure information accurately.
  • Adhere to Stryker and medical facility policies and procedures.
  • Analyze and resolve routine and non-routine product issues using independent judgment.
  • Provide on-call services as required by the medical facility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree, Associate's Degree, or equivalent certifications preferred.
  • Operating Room experience and knowledge of anatomy, surgical procedures, and techniques preferred.
  • Ability to exert up to 50lbs of force occasionally and/or up to 20lbs of force constantly.
  • Ability to remain standing and/or walking for extended periods.
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to use independent judgment and critical thinking effectively.
  • Must maintain professional appearance and work ethic.
  • Adhere to HIPAA and patient confidentiality policies.
  • Must have near visual acuity, color vision, mobility, and finger dexterity.
