About the position

The Operational Excellence Specialist at Peckham Industries will collaborate with the Assistant Vice President of Operational Excellence to enhance the efficiency and quality of processes within the Materials organization. This role focuses on analyzing current operations, identifying improvement opportunities, and implementing changes to drive operational excellence. The specialist will engage with various departments, participate in training, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement while developing skills in process optimization and project management.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and maintaining preventative maintenance plans for equipment and systems.
  • Analyze processes, workflows, and procedures to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
  • Participate in process improvement projects and support training sessions.
  • Work closely with different departments to support process improvement efforts.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of process changes and improvements.
  • Support monitoring project budgets and assist in preparing cost-benefit analyses.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (e.g., Mining, Industrial, Mechanical) or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Curiosity to learn and apply new concepts.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Basic knowledge of data analysis and process improvement techniques is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Ability to communicate in verbal and written English language.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Legal right to work in the U.S.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in process improvement methodologies.
