About the position

The Orientation Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting the training and development objectives of Mederi Caretenders. This position is responsible for coordinating and executing training programs at the regional or divisional level, working closely with operation leaders and the training team to assess training needs and evaluate effectiveness. The coordinator delivers training using various instructional techniques and ensures that employees understand and apply the training effectively, contributing to exceptional care for patients and communities.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and execute training programs at the regional or divisional level.
  • Work with operation leaders, preceptors, and the training team to identify training needs.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and provide training opportunities.
  • Deliver training to employees using various instructional techniques.
  • Assess learner achievements and report on key indicators of knowledge transfer.
  • Maintain knowledge of state-specific education requirements.
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with agency management and staff.
  • Assist in the recruitment, onboarding, and orientation of candidates.
  • Act as a resource, mentor, and coach for staff in the assigned region.
  • Conduct home visits along with the RN and assist with patient follow-up services.

Requirements

  • Current RN licensure in state of practice.
  • Current CPR certification required.
  • Current Drivers License, vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.
  • Three years' tenure with the company preferred.
  • Experience in delivery of training and working collaboratively across multiple disciplines.
  • Knowledgeable of rules and regulations relevant to specific business line or area assigned.
  • Experience in the field and office for orientation purposes (LPN, RN and TL).
  • Ability to organize workload to provide reliable follow-through and meet timelines/deadlines.
  • Demonstrable presentation and group facilitation skills.
  • Ability to identify competence for tasks, jobs, and roles in business line or area assigned.
  • Ability to interpret training needs and determine most appropriate training solutions.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written formats.
