About the position

The Overnight Concierge at Cedarhurst of Tesson Heights is a part-time role focused on providing exceptional customer service and personalized assistance to residents, staff, and visitors. This position requires working overnight shifts every Friday and Saturday, with responsibilities that include monitoring entry points, engaging with residents, and supporting clerical tasks for the Business Office. The Concierge plays a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for residents by ensuring their needs are met and fostering a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

  • Welcoming residents, visitors, and guests, providing exceptional customer service and assistance.
  • Monitoring the community's entry and exit points, signing in guests and residents, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
  • Regularly engaging with residents to help them feel valued and cared for.
  • Receiving and distributing mail and packages.
  • Managing external and internal calls, taking and communicating messages, and forwarding calls to the appropriate person/department.
  • Assisting the Executive Director & Business Office Manager with clerical/administrative duties.
  • Assisting the Sales & Marketing team with taking sales inquiries as needed.
  • Assisting residents with scheduling personal transportation services and making reservations for community events.
  • Managing the sale of guest meals and initiating credit card transactions for guest meal sales when necessary.
  • Submitting work order requests to Maintenance on behalf of residents.
  • Monitoring emergency response systems and fire alarm panels.
  • Ensuring effective communication with residents' families concerning their care.
  • Working well with others and taking direction from management, while also engaging in conflict intervention and resolution as needed.
  • Remaining flexible and having the ability to work weekends when necessary.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED is preferred but not required.
  • Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a senior living facility, healthcare, hospitality, or similar setting preferred.
  • CPR or BLS certification preferred.
  • Proficiency in Internet browsers (e.g., Explorer, Chrome, Firefox), Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Publisher, and electronic health records (EHR) systems.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a senior living facility or healthcare setting.
  • Certification in CPR or BLS.
