About the position

The Part-Time Casual Team Member at JOANN Stores is responsible for delivering a premium customer experience by inspiring creativity and ensuring customer satisfaction. This role involves engaging with customers, processing transactions, and maintaining store standards while driving sales through product knowledge and innovative merchandising.

Responsibilities

• Greets every JOANN customer and uses the F.A.S.T. service model to meet customer needs.
• Processes customer transactions at the cutting counter and cash register efficiently and professionally.
• Lifts boxes from the truck and receiving area, placing and arranging items on shelves and racks.
• Unloads freight from the truck and sorts it according to company procedures.
• Stocks shelves accurately according to planogram while maintaining high productivity and attention to detail.
• Maintains high standards throughout the sales floor by cleaning and recovering shelves and managing returns.
• Invites customers to participate in store activities and proactively drives sales through product knowledge and suggestive selling.
• Works to minimize shrink in the store by following proper policies and procedures.
• Assists other Team Members with tasks to ensure the team exceeds expectations set by Store Management.
• Assists with training new Team Members on various tasks.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• No prior experience required, but 1-3 years of experience in a customer-centric environment preferred.
• Ability to work with customers and team members effectively.
• Ability to maintain a safe work environment and interact collaboratively with others.
• Ability to communicate effectively in a group environment.
