About the position

The Part-Time Youth Soccer Coach at Soccer Shots - Houston is responsible for conducting engaging soccer sessions for children aged 2 to 8 years, focusing on skill development and character building. The role emphasizes creating a safe and inclusive environment while following a structured curriculum designed for early childhood development. Coaches are expected to communicate effectively with families and maintain a positive atmosphere that encourages children's love for soccer.

Responsibilities

• Conduct soccer sessions for children aged 2 to 8 years, including field set-up and take-down.
• Encourage character development through positive reinforcement and modeling.
• Utilize Soccer Shots' curriculum and early childhood development teaching techniques in every session.
• Foster a safe and inclusive environment for all participants.
• Follow all on-site safety and attendance protocols.
• Communicate effectively with families, caregivers, and teachers.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Reliable transportation and a valid Driver's License.
• Pass an FBI Background Check.
• Valid Work Visa or Authorization to work in the US.
• Coaching or childhood education experience preferred.
• Must own or have access to a printer.
• Minimum of 20 sessions a week.
• Minimum of 3 mornings and 3 afternoons availability.
• Saturday mornings from 8am - 12:15pm.
