About the position

The Passenger Service Agent is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service to passengers using customer or charter services. This role involves assisting with ticket processing, baggage handling, and providing information about flights and airport procedures. The agent also ensures compliance with safety and security regulations while assisting passengers with special needs and performing various operational duties.

Responsibilities

  • Processing customers' tickets and checking baggage.
  • Monitoring carry-on baggage for size and quantity.
  • Assigning seats to passengers.
  • Providing information on arrival and departure times, boarding procedures, and carry-on regulations.
  • Handling denied boarding situations and accommodating customers with hotel, meal, and taxi vouchers when necessary.
  • Ensuring compliance with FAA, airline, and airport regulations.
  • Enforcing safety and security measures and protecting sensitive zones.
  • Assisting customers with special needs, including wheelchair assistance.
  • Bringing wheelchair passengers from the ticket counter to gates and vice versa.
  • Performing aircraft cleaning and ramp duties as required.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to read and write in English; bilingual skills are a plus.
  • Ability to work efficiently under time constraints.
  • Availability to work varied hours including swing and graveyard shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be well-groomed and physically fit.
  • Must pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. as defined in the Immigration Act of 1986.
  • Ability to attend required training.

Benefits

  • Starting wage of $17.00 per hour.
  • Part-time work schedule (2 - 4 days a week).
