About The Position

The Payroll Specialist at McKesson plays a crucial role in managing payroll-related tasks with a focus on accuracy and compliance. Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required; advanced education preferred.
• Minimum 2 years payroll processing experience in a multi-state payroll environment.
• Preferred Certified Payroll Professional (FPC, CPP).
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations and taxes.
• Proficient in payroll best practices, garnishments, unions, benefits, and taxes.

Nice To Haves

• Working knowledge of Workday, ADP, and ServiceNow.
• Experience in handling sensitive and confidential material.
• Strong PC skills including proficiency in Excel.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll-related items including earnings, deductions, and taxation on regular and On Demand payments.
• Handle payroll validation, input pay, and T4 reconciliation for earnings, deductions, and taxes.
• Manage garnishment processing, union pay, and benefits deductions.
• Provide resolution for complex payroll discrepancies and inquiries accurately and timely.
• Create and validate On Demand checks and handle wage requests.
• Understand and process Records of Employment (ROEs) according to company and Service Canada guidelines.
• Update and create Desk Top Procedures/Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for assigned tasks as needed.
