About the position

The People Operations Partner at Hive Collective is a strategic role focused on managing the employee lifecycle and enhancing the overall employee experience. This position combines operational responsibilities with a commitment to employee development and organizational culture, ensuring that team members receive the support they need throughout their journey with the company.

Responsibilities

  • Support leadership with workforce planning and forecasting to meet business needs.
  • Assist in recruitment for Intern, PT, FT, and Seasonal roles, including employment branding, sourcing, interviewing, offers, and onboarding.
  • Facilitate talent review processes to ensure alignment with company goals and employee growth.
  • Provide guidance on training programs and team development opportunities to enhance performance and culture.
  • Promote a positive, collaborative work environment focusing on employee relations, engagement, and culture-building initiatives.
  • Lead offboarding processes, ensuring smooth transitions and gathering valuable feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Oversee compensation structures to ensure internal and external equity.
  • Manage bi-weekly payroll processes for accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in partnership with the Finance team.
  • Coordinate employee benefits programs, including health insurance and retirement plans, managing open enrollment, updates, and terminations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Hive Collective's PEO partner, ensuring effective vendor management and alignment with payroll, benefits, and compliance needs.
  • Oversee HRIS systems to ensure accuracy and efficiency, optimizing processes to support operational needs.
  • Address payroll, benefits, and HR-related inquiries in a timely manner for employees and managers.
  • Provide coaching to managers on employee performance, development plans, and engagement strategies.
  • Conduct onboarding sessions to ensure employees understand payroll, benefits, and company policies.
  • Assist leadership in fostering an inclusive and engaging work environment aligned with Hive Collective's core values.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in a combined HR generalist and operations role.
  • Proven experience managing payroll, benefits, and employee lifecycle processes.
  • Experience partnering with a Professional Employer Organization (PEO) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of HR compliance and labor laws.
  • Proficiency in HR systems, payroll software, and time/attendance tools.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong judgment and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
