About the position

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aides to provide essential support to individuals in their homes or assisted living facilities. This role is crucial in enhancing the quality of life for clients by assisting them with daily activities and personal care, particularly for those with memory care needs or chronic illnesses.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
• Help clients with mobility and transfers, including the safe use of lifting systems when necessary.
• Monitor and report changes in clients' health status to the supervising nurse or healthcare provider.
• Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed, ensuring dietary requirements are met.
• Support clients in medication management by reminding them of their schedules and assisting with administration as directed.
• Engage clients in activities that promote mental stimulation and social interaction, particularly for those with dementia or memory care needs.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties as required.
• Document care provided accurately in compliance with healthcare regulations.

Requirements

• Previous experience in home community care, assisted living, nursing home, or hospice care is preferred.
• Knowledge of dementia care principles and techniques is a plus.
• Ability to lift and assist clients safely using appropriate techniques and equipment.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
• Ability to work independently while following established care plans and protocols.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and able to handle the physical demands of the job.
