About the position

The Personal Care Assistant (PCA) role at Clearwater Center is designed for individuals interested in joining the healthcare field and making a positive impact on the lives of others. This position offers flexible shifts, including days and evenings, and provides essential support to residents in a long-term care setting. The PCA will assist with daily living activities, ensure resident safety, and contribute to a compassionate care environment.

Responsibilities

  • Answers call light in a timely manner.
  • Places all belongings within patient's reach (call light, pitcher, glasses, remote, etc.).
  • Serves and collects meal trays, assists during meals, sanitizes/cleans tables after meals.
  • Assists residents in communication involving technology (Zoom, FaceTime, others).
  • Assists with monitoring residents in the common area to maintain safety, providing 1:1 supervision as needed.
  • Assists residents in admission and discharge including an inventory of belongings.
  • Gathers supplies needed for the provision of care.
  • Makes unoccupied beds.
  • Assists residents in activity engagement of their choice and interest.

Requirements

  • No experience needed - Paid Training.
  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
