About the position

Our client in Oak Lawn, IL is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Certified Pharmacy Technician to join their Fortune 500 client in a hospital setting. This role is critical in ensuring the efficient operation of the pharmacy and supporting healthcare professionals in delivering high-quality patient care. The Pharmacy Technician will assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintain accurate records of medications and patient information, and ensure compliance with all hospital and pharmacy policies and procedures. Additionally, the technician will manage inventory and order supplies as needed, while also supporting the pharmacy team with various administrative tasks. This position does not involve direct patient care, but it plays a vital role in the overall healthcare delivery process.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications.
• Maintain accurate records of medications and patient information.
• Ensure compliance with all hospital and pharmacy policies and procedures.
• Manage inventory and order supplies as needed.
• Support the pharmacy team with various administrative tasks.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a hospital setting.
• Active Illinois Pharmacy Technician License.
• Certification (CPhT) issued by PTCB or ExCPT, in hand at the time of submission.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
