About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining patient records, and providing excellent customer service.

Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacy calculations
• Certification as a Pharmacy Technician
• Experience in patient care and aseptic technique
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on patient care
• Familiarity with critical care medication administration and IV infusion techniques
• Previous experience working in a hospital setting is preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare medications by counting, pouring, weighing, measuring, and mixing pharmaceuticals
• Maintain pharmacy inventory by checking pharmaceutical stock to determine inventory level
• Process prescriptions by retrieving orders, counting tablets, labeling bottles, and resolving any discrepancies
• Assist patients by answering questions, locating items or referring inquiries to the pharmacist
• Maintain a safe and clean pharmacy environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
