About The Position

The Phlebotomist III - Float is responsible for drawing quality blood samples from patients and preparing specimens for lab testing. This role requires direct patient interaction, ensuring a trustworthy environment while explaining procedures and performing blood draws safely and accurately. The position involves providing coverage at multiple locations and ensuring timely completion of daily activities in various phlebotomy settings.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Five years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Minimum of three years in a Patient Service Center/In-Office Phlebotomy environment preferred.
• Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.

Nice To Haves

• Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington).

Responsibilities

• Draw quality blood samples from patients.
• Prepare specimens for lab testing following established practices and procedures.
• Provide coverage at multiple locations for various roles.
• Ensure daily activities of the Patient Service Center/Mobile/Long Term Care/In-Office Phlebotomy are completed accurately and on time.
• Demonstrate leadership behaviors and focus on process excellence.
• Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of patient information.
