About the position
The Senior Associate Attorney at Bourhis Law Group is responsible for providing legal advice, conducting research, negotiating settlements, and handling long-term disability insurance bad faith disputes in both federal and state courts. This full-time role offers opportunities to work on a growing personal injury practice and gain trial experience, with flexibility for remote work.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough legal research using resources such as Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis
- Draft legal documents including briefs, motions, and agreements
- Represent clients in court proceedings and negotiations
- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients
- Assist with case management and preparation for trials
- Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff on case strategies
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in the state of California
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an attorney
- Proficient in legal research, writing, and litigation
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to communicate effectively with clients
