About the position

The Platform Deployment Lead for SAP CO at Corning is responsible for supporting the multiyear SAP ERP transformation strategy, focusing on the 'Record to Report' value stream. This role involves program management, cross-functional alignment, and ensuring the successful deployment of SAP ERP solutions. The lead will work closely with various stakeholders to facilitate project delivery, manage risks, and ensure quality deployment through effective communication and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Support the SAP ERP transformation strategy planning and execution.
• Act as a liaison between IT and business counterparts to track project progress.
• Lead early engagement and readiness phases with business and IT teams.
• Gather business requirements and identify potential gaps for project delivery.
• Conduct regular risk management assessments and develop mitigation plans.
• Manage testing, training, data migration, and cutover processes in partnership with stakeholders.
• Act as a system tester and validator when necessary.

Requirements

• Master's degree in business management or industrial engineering with a bachelor's in computer science or information technology.
• Minimum 8 years of SAP functional or business consultant experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with SAP Controlling (SAP CO) in various accounting areas.
• Experience in large-scale SAP FI projects delivering global solutions.
• Minimum 5 years of IT Project Management experience.
• Hands-on SAP configuration skills.
• Strong project management soft skills including communication, schedule management, and risk management.
• Cross-functional communication experience.
