About the position

The President of Ray Engineering is responsible for guiding the company towards financial prosperity by achieving revenue and profit targets. This leadership role involves overseeing management staff, resource allocation, and health and safety initiatives, while fostering a culture of respect and inclusion within the organization. The President will develop strategic objectives, drive business growth, and enhance customer relations, ensuring that the company adheres to its core values and commitment to excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Develop short-term and long-term objectives, strategies, and action plans that enhance progress towards the organization's mission.
  • Offer guidance, advice, direction, and necessary approvals to implement significant plans, standards, and processes in alignment with organizational policies.
  • Set organizational and financial key performance indicators (KPIs) and achieve them by inspiring, mentoring, supporting, and directing the leadership team.
  • Drive the implementation of business strategies and planning, taking full responsibility for the profit and loss (P&L) to ensure profitable growth.
  • Build and uphold an efficient communication network across the organization.
  • Propel key initiatives that contribute to the company's long-term growth and profitability.
  • Provide strategic vision, strong leadership, and influential guidance company-wide.
  • Address immediate and long-term challenges through effective problem-solving.
  • Stay informed about market trends, competitive activities, economic conditions, and regulatory developments, applying this knowledge judiciously.
  • Explore and develop opportunities for inorganic growth to increase and diversify market presence.
  • Forge and sustain partnerships with community and industry influencers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA a plus.
  • 15+ years of demonstrated, proven success in a senior leadership role (VP or higher) for a Structural/Forensics/Consulting firm.
  • Demonstrated success in setting strategic direction and vision, leading to profitable and enduring growth.
  • Established history of expanding geographical reach, market sector presence, and service line variety.
  • Robust financial expertise with proven proficiency in managing profit and loss accounts.
  • Skilled in communicating effectively across all organizational tiers.
  • Experience in overseeing engineering teams, planning, scheduling, and driving operational success.
  • A goal-driven leader focused on factual management and identifying opportunities to boost business profitability.
  • Ability to recruit, retain, and develop staff.
  • Strong business acumen, strategic thinking skills, proficient in analytical and objective leadership.
  • Employs foresight and good judgment while exercising critical thinking regarding benefits, risks, and decisions that affect the company and its employees.
