About the position

The Procurement Specialist/Buyer will be responsible for managing the procurement process, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services while adhering to budget constraints. This role requires strong negotiation skills and the ability to communicate effectively with vendors, particularly in Mandarin, to facilitate purchasing decisions and maintain quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Compare prices among various vendors to make sound purchasing decisions.
  • Work within a given budget to purchase goods and services for the organization.
  • Ensure timely delivery of products while maintaining quality standards.
  • Negotiate with contractors on price, shipping methods, and delivery timelines.
  • Order goods such as office supplies regularly to maintain appropriate inventory levels.
  • Verify invoice accuracy and authorize payments.
  • Evaluate vendor performance to determine future partnerships.
  • Conduct end-to-end procurement process verification.
  • Enter inventory and order data into the procurement database.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Bilingual in English and Chinese (Mandarin) to communicate effectively with suppliers and partners in China.
  • 3+ years of procurement/Buyer experience.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to stay within assigned budgets.
  • Strong math skills for cost calculations.
  • Trustworthy and capable of managing funds responsibly.
