About The Position

The Product Manager (DC Power) at Vertiv is responsible for driving growth and profitability of the company's DC Power data center offerings. This role involves developing a product portfolio, gaining insights into customer needs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to launch new products efficiently. The Product Manager will also manage product financials and develop sales and marketing strategies to maximize revenue.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical degree; mechanical or electrical engineering preferred.
• At least 5 years in technical products marketing, strategic planning, or related experience.
• Demonstrated competence in problem solving, data analysis, and project planning.
• Understanding of sales channels and manufacturing processes.
• Experience presenting to audiences in person and via conference calls.
• Ability to develop cross-functional relationships to achieve business objectives.
• MBA and/or prior consulting or product marketing experience preferred.
• Experience with DC/UPS systems is preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in strategic planning or consulting roles.
• Familiarity with data center market trends.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Voice of Customer research and analysis.
• Develop innovative product strategies, roadmaps, and specifications.
• Create value propositions, selling stories, and product launch plans.
• Manage product lifecycle including introduction and planned obsolescence.
• Execute pricing strategies and conduct competitive analysis.
• Forecast product line profitability and provide sales training and support.
• Analyze market trends, sales channels, and competitor products.
• Engage in cross-cultural interactions with various teams and stakeholders.
