About the position

The Product Marketing Manager for Google Play Platforms and Devices is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive go-to-market (GTM) strategies. This role focuses on landing key launch moments, influencing the product roadmap, and ensuring alignment and execution of marketing initiatives. The position requires a strong understanding of consumer insights and data to enhance customer experiences, as well as the ability to manage cross-functional projects effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive GTM strategies for product launches.
  • Land key launch moments and influence the product roadmap.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify target audiences and messaging opportunities.
  • Craft compelling product messaging and positioning based on user insights and market analysis.
  • Ensure alignment and execution of marketing initiatives across teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of consumer product marketing experience.
  • Experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working closely with Product and Engineering to develop GTM strategies and align on hero features.
  • Passion for consumers and consumer experiences, with a demonstrated ability to utilize consumer insights and data to improve the customer experience.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage simultaneous projects across multiple internal cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to process analysis to simple communications.
  • Experience working in digital entertainment or gaming, and on loyalty programs.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and self-directing their projects in an unstructured environment.
