About the position

The Production IT Factory Support Analyst plays a crucial role in providing technical support to the production team within the manufacturing industry. This position focuses on ensuring the smooth operation of the JDE system and addressing technical issues that may arise, thereby facilitating efficient production processes. The analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams and maintain positive customer service interactions with internal stakeholders, making this role essential for operational success.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to the production team and troubleshoot technical issues in a timely manner.
  • Ensure the smooth operation of the JDE system and resolve any system issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance production efficiency.
  • Deliver positive customer service to internal stakeholders and maintain a positive outlook in all interactions.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of technical issues and resolutions.
  • Act as the first point of contact for daily support of manufacturing network hardware devices, including printers and barcode scanners.
  • Perform routine checks of IT equipment on the manufacturing floor before each shift.
  • Coordinate and monitor the rollout of IT updates to manufacturing computers with minimal disruption to production schedules.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, PC operating system, production software, and network-related issues.
  • Document resolved issues and outstanding tasks for the next shift's IT support analyst.
  • Create and maintain standard operating procedures for IT-related manufacturing and distribution processes.
  • Support root-cause analysis for technical issues impacting manufacturing operations.
  • Manage and prioritize daily tasks alongside project-based workloads in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adapt to evolving business needs and demonstrate flexibility in handling new challenges.

Requirements

  • Associates degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing IT support or a similar role.
  • Experience with JDE system.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Products.
  • Positive customer service attitude and team player mentality.
  • Strong understanding of network topology, including LAN, WAN, and wireless technologies.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and capable of completing tasks independently.
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting and implementing barcode scanning technologies and label printing technology.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Access Database management.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certifications in relevant IT fields.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft SQL (2012, 2014, 2016, 2019).
  • Knowledge of Windows Server operations (2012, 2016, 2019).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
