About the position
The Production Team Lead is responsible for overseeing the manufacturing process in a production environment. This role involves leading a team, ensuring safety protocols are followed, managing batch production, and maintaining quality standards. The position requires strong leadership skills and the ability to work autonomously while supporting team members in achieving production goals.
Responsibilities
- Lead the team with a focus on safety and adherence to safety policies.
- Create new batches in the ERP system based on demand and issue batch build documents.
- Ensure proper setup and staging of raw materials for production.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, inspecting team members' actions.
- Communicate effectively with team members and coordinate break/lunch rotations.
- Perform root-cause analysis on equipment/process issues and determine corrective actions.
- Operate a forklift to move finished products within the warehouse staging area.
- Assist with quarterly inventory counts.
Requirements
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required.
- 2 years of manufacturing experience or related experience in an industrial environment.
- 1-2 years of demonstrated team leadership experience.
- Ability to perform all Production Technician and Specialist tasks.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
Nice-to-haves
