About the position

The Graduate Medical Education (GME) Program Administrator plays a crucial role in the administration of residency and fellowship training programs, ensuring compliance with Accreditation Council for Medical Education (ACGME) requirements. This position involves managing day-to-day operations, coordinating recruitment efforts, and serving as a liaison between residents, faculty, and hospital stakeholders. The GME Program Administrator works closely with the Program Director and Administrative GME Director, contributing to a positive educational experience for residents and maintaining program documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of one or more residency or fellowship training programs.
  • Coordinate and organize program recruitment efforts and the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) process.
  • Ensure compliance with program accreditation requirements for residents and faculty.
  • Prepare and maintain all required program/resident documentation.
  • Coordinate program/resident onboarding and orientation processes.
  • Serve as the resident/fellow liaison to assure a positive educational experience.
  • Assess and coordinate programmatic events and processes, including curricular activities, onboarding, graduation, and accreditation site visits.

Requirements

  • High School or equivalent degree required; Bachelor's degree highly preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in Graduate Medical Education or education.
  • Training Administrators of Graduate Medical Education (TAGME) certification highly regarded.
  • Knowledge of Residency Management Systems (MedHub or New Innovations) preferred.
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF software, and online meeting platforms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
