About the position

The Project Manager - Facility Assessment role at Terracon involves managing and executing property and facility condition assessments primarily in the Chicago area. The position requires conducting site visits, often necessitating overnight travel, and producing detailed reports for clients. The role emphasizes both teamwork and independent work to ensure high-quality deliverables related to the built environment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and develop repair/restoration solutions for the built environment.
• Manage and execute routine and complex facility assessment projects.
• Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate assessments, inspections, and testing of properties, buildings, and roofs.
• Draft reports and client deliverables under the direction of senior consultants.
• Make recommendations and modifications for review by senior consultants.
• Participate in projects of greater complexity within detailed portfolios.
• Perform or oversee contract administration for small-to-large projects.
• Follow safety rules, guidelines, and standards for all projects.
• Participate in pre-task planning and report safety issues to management.
• Maintain quality standards on all projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in building science or related field and 5-7 years' experience in facility assessment, or 9-11 years' related experience in lieu of a degree.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and ability to learn other software systems.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history.

Nice-to-haves

• Registered Roof Consultant (RRC) certification preferred.
• Registered Waterproofing Consultant (RWC) certification preferred.
