About the position

The Project Manager will oversee multiple residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional projects, working closely with the Project Director. This role involves managing project payment terms, coordinating with subcontractors, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations while providing technical support to clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Manage high risk, high exposure, and complex projects.
  • Communicate professionally with customers, subcontractors, and insurance representatives.
  • Provide technical explanations to clients, adjusters, and consultants.
  • Coordinate job starts and schedule appointments with customers.
  • Execute Project Director's directions regarding project payment terms and collection of outstanding accounts receivable (A/R).
  • Request payment from customers upon substantial completion of work and when getting Certificates of Substantial Completion signed.
  • Alert Project Director regarding next stages of payment in accordance with established payment terms.
  • Complement Project Director's efforts regarding collecting project outstanding A/R.
  • Coordinate work duties with subcontractors and field personnel.
  • Provide constructive feedback and direction to complete tasks on time and within budget.
  • Coordinate after-hours emergency services, including board-ups and water damage.
  • Obtain all city permits and inspections and/or certified approvals.
  • Observe all OSHA, EPA, and SCAQMD regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations.
  • Assure compliance with DOT regulations.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously over a multi-location region.
  • Use Salesforce to manage projects, run reports, input and manage work orders, and forecast budgets/labor/material.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent; some college is a plus.
  • Minimum of three years of Superintendent experience in all phases of construction.
  • A combination of commercial and residential experience is preferred.
  • Possession of current asbestos, lead, and mold certifications.
  • LLCRC AMRT certification issued by a Certified State training provider as identified by OSHA.
  • Valid and current environmental physical enabling the individual to wear a respirator.
  • OSHA 30 hr. construction course certification.
  • Current State Driver's license and forklift operator certification.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bilingual English/Spanish is encouraged, but not required.
  • Insurance restoration experience is a plus.
