About the position

Galapagos Federal Systems, LLC is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead complex IT initiatives across various domains. This role involves providing technical leadership, managing IT contracts, budgets, and procurement activities, and overseeing the full project lifecycle to ensure alignment with organizational goals. The Project Manager will be responsible for delivering projects in areas such as IT facilities, telecommunications, cybersecurity, and IT infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex information technology projects from initiation to completion.
• Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams.
• Strategically plan project stages and evaluate business implications.
• Monitor project milestones for compliance with deadlines, quality standards, and budgetary targets.
• Manage multiple complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.
• Mentor junior team members as needed.
• Maintain and update IT contracts, budgets, and procurement activities.
• Document, update, and track project risks and issues.
• Provide comprehensive administrative support including status reporting and meeting logistics.
• Support technical staff and bridge communication between business and technical teams.
• Oversee the delivery of program and project outputs while addressing government requests.
• Manage project and program performance to ensure alignment with organizational goals.

Requirements

• Possess an active Secret DoD clearance.
• Over 5 years of progressive experience in project management.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; additional 5 years of relevant work experience may substitute for a degree.
• PMI PMP certification or equivalent approved by the Government Task Manager.
• ITIL 4 Foundation certification.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in government contracting and compliance.
• Familiarity with advanced IT business management tools.
