About the position
The Project Scanning Associate role is a temporary, part-time position focused on in-store data collection for various retail environments. Associates will scan barcodes of products in stores to gather data that helps assess and improve product and store performance. This position offers flexibility in hours and the opportunity to work independently while contributing to a significant annual project.
Responsibilities
- Perform in-store data collections by scanning barcodes of products using a downloadable app on a personal device.
- Work in various retail environments including grocery, drug, and mass merchandise stores.
- Complete a series of measuring and UPC scanning throughout the store.
- Ensure thoroughness and timeliness in data collection to meet client expectations.
- Maintain independence in the workplace while being reliable and quality-driven.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver's license.
- Ability to endure being on your feet for long periods and access products throughout the store.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and reach 6 feet in the air.
- Ability to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Reliable transportation with minimum state auto insurance coverage.
