About The Position

The Emergency Room Nurse at TriStar Summit Medical Center plays a crucial role in providing and coordinating care for patients in a high-acuity environment. This position involves working in a busy 50-bed Emergency Room, primarily caring for patients with higher acuity needs, including trauma cases. Requirements

• RN licensure by Tennessee Board of Nursing or a Board of Nursing from a compact state.
• Associate's degree in nursing; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• ACLS and PALS certifications within 1 year of employment.
• CPI certification within 6 months of employment.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a registered nurse.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in emergency nursing or trauma care.
• Certification in specialty areas such as trauma or critical care.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate care for patients in the Emergency Room.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to support patients and their families.
• Conduct assessments and reassessments of patients' conditions.
• Develop individualized plans of care and administer medications.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests.
• Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients' conditions.
• Utilize the nursing process to meet the needs of patients.
• Demonstrate technical skills and procedures relevant to patient care.
