About the position

This position involves preparing Requests for Quotations (RFQs) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for IT products and services, assisting in negotiation strategies, and ensuring proper documentation for contracting processes. The role requires a strong understanding of contract provisions and the ability to identify and resolve risks associated with various contract processes. The position is available for both part-time and full-time employment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Requests for Quotations (RFQs) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for IT products and services.
• Assist in planning negotiation strategies and evaluating contracting prices.
• Ensure contract files are properly organized upon completion of negotiations.
• Prepare narratives of procurement actions and contractual documents for the Contracting Officer's signature.
• Research applicable contract provisions and review contract processes to identify risks.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution authorized to grant baccalaureate degrees.
• Obtain and maintain Defense Acquisition Workforce Certification.
• Experience interpreting regulations or assisting in drafting documentation in support of contracts for GS-07 level.
• Experience in contracting methods and performing basic price or cost analysis for GS-09 level.
