About the position

Sigray Inc. is seeking a talented QA Automation Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of their cutting-edge applications, primarily stand-alone systems running on Windows. This role offers significant growth potential within a rapidly expanding company that values respect and inclusion. The successful candidate will work closely with the development team to implement automated testing solutions and enhance the existing automation framework.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain automated test scripts to ensure the quality of applications.
  • Collaborate with the development team to understand software requirements and design comprehensive test plans.
  • Execute automated tests, analyze results, and report defects to the development team.
  • Work closely with software developers to reproduce issues and verify fixes.
  • Enhance and expand the existing automation framework to improve test coverage and efficiency.
  • Perform regression testing and ensure software functionality and performance are maintained after updates.
  • Identify areas of improvement in the software development process and contribute to the implementation of best practices.
  • Monitor and report on test coverage and quality metrics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in QA automation, with a focus on Windows applications.
  • Proficiency in C++, C#, and Python.
  • Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Experience with automation tools such as Selenium, TestComplete, or similar.
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into the build process.
  • Familiarity with performance and load testing tools.
  • Knowledge of Windows operating system internals.
  • Experience in testing stand-alone applications and hardware-software integration.
