About the position

The Quality Control Technician position involves performing quality inspections in an ISO Certified manufacturing environment. The role is crucial for ensuring that production standards are met and that products are compliant with quality specifications. The technician will manage documentation, conduct inspections, and collaborate with the production team to address quality concerns.

Responsibilities

  • Manage documentation within quality databases for the manufacturing facility.
  • Perform hourly conformity inspections.
  • Monitor operations to ensure that they meet production standards.
  • Recommend adjustments to the production process.
  • Inspect, test, or measure materials or products being produced, hourly.
  • Measure products with rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers.
  • Perform melt test on incoming material.
  • Complete final inspection paperwork, pass, fail, rework, prior to shipment.
  • Work with production team to troubleshoot and solve quality concerns.
  • Utilize Root Cause Analysis for all quality issues.
  • Compare work order to packaged products to verify box and lot number are correct.
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint to develop work instructions and train production employees how to use them.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Quality Assurance/Inspector Certification Preferred
  • ISO 9001-2015 Quality Certification is Preferred
  • Previous Quality Inspection Experience Required
  • Six months+ of Laboratory experience Required
  • Valid Driver's License
  • A Clean Background with NO Felony Conviction
  • Able to Pass an Employment Drug Screen, Saliva or Urinalysis
  • Working knowledge of CMM, gauges, calipers and other measuring tools
  • Ability to write/edit CMM programs (Coordinated Measuring Machines) Preferred
  • Able to read blueprints
  • Competent within Microsoft Office Suite of programs.
