About the position

The Quality Inspector is responsible for performing and recording inspections on raw materials, in-process items, finished products, and conducting First Article Inspections. This role collaborates with Sales and Production to develop inspection plans, resolves supplier quality issues with Purchasing, and manages the inspection tool equipment while controlling the nonconforming product process.

Responsibilities

• Develop inspection plans for new products in collaboration with Sales and Production.
• Perform dimensional inspections using standard inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and CMM.
• Conduct visual inspections based on customer specifications for acceptance and rejection.
• Document First Article Inspections and ensure completeness and accuracy of documentation.
• Administer the nonconforming material process according to SP 06 Control of Nonconforming Product.
• Manage the calibration function per SP 05 Control of Measuring and Test Equipment.
• Document inspections completed and nonconforming materials clearly and accurately.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Blueprint reading skills including GD+T print reading abilities.
• Knowledge of CMM and Mastercam is a plus.
• Ability to problem solve effectively.
• Strong writing and organizational skills.
• Effective communication skills with co-workers, supervisors, and customers.
• Must be a US Person under ITAR requirements.
