About the position

The VP, Team Manager for the PPR Research Team at Gartner is responsible for leading a team of 4-8 researchers focused on Procurement, Research & Development, Quality, and Manufacturing roles within the Supply Chain practice. This role emphasizes the development of high-quality research content, fostering a collaborative and innovative team culture, and driving diversity and inclusion initiatives. The manager will also ensure timely delivery of research outputs and support the professional growth of team members.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of researchers to create content across key roles and multiple content types.
• Develop ideas to support content storylines on digital transformation, talent, and strategy.
• Manage team performance and create a collaborative culture focused on innovation and content excellence.
• Direct resources to ensure timely and high-quality fulfillment of research content.
• Provide constructive edits to documents and presentations for quality deliverables and skill development.
• Foster an environment of diversity, inclusion, and engagement within the team.

Requirements

• Extensive experience coaching and developing teams to high performance and engagement.
• A track record of empathy, adaptability, and authenticity as a human leader.
• Master's degree preferred and/or 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience conducting primary and secondary research using qualitative and quantitative data.
• Ability to convert qualitative and quantitative information into clear frameworks and presentations.
• Project management experience with mentoring capabilities.
• Proven competence in meeting deadlines and managing work under uncertainty.
