About the position
The R&D Laboratory Technician at Dymax is responsible for developing new light-curable products that contribute to the company's growth. This role involves preparing formulations, conducting physical property and analytical tests, and collaborating with chemists to meet customer needs. The technician will maintain compliance with safety standards and ensure timely project completion by managing laboratory supplies.
Responsibilities
- Prepare light-curable formulations for new product development.
- Perform physical property tests to validate product performance.
- Conduct analytical tests using testing instrumentation such as FTIR Spectrophotometers and Thermal Analysis Instruments.
- Maintain detailed records of formulation trials and test results in laboratory notebooks.
- Monitor and replenish chemical and laboratory supplies as needed.
- Ensure compliance with Dymax and industry safety standards.
Requirements
- High School Degree or higher.
- Excellent knowledge and experience with MS Excel and PowerPoint.
- 2+ years of position-related experience.
- Detail-oriented with strong time-management and analytical skills.
- Experience in UV-curing adhesives/coatings.
