About the position

La Familia Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our Greening North Franklin initiative as a Receptionist/Data Entry Clerical Support. This position is crucial to our administrative operations, providing essential support to the Executive Director, the Greening North Franklin Administrator, and the entire Greening North Franklin team. The ideal candidate will excel in administrative support and have a passion for community engagement, contributing to our mission of making a difference in South Sacramento. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that ensure the smooth operation of our office. Your duties will include providing administrative and clerical support, scheduling appointments and meetings, and assisting with updates to our website. You will handle incoming and outgoing phone calls, take messages, and provide basic information to callers. Additionally, you will prepare and distribute memos, reports, and other documents, maintain organized files and records, and assist with data entry and record keeping. You will also manage calendars, assist with time management, and coordinate communication with the community and partners. As part of your responsibilities, you will assist in event planning and coordination of meetings, ensuring that all logistical details are handled efficiently. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. You will be expected to adapt to changes and handle unexpected events with professionalism and confidentiality. Being a team player with a positive attitude is essential, as you will be working closely with various stakeholders in our community.

Responsibilities

  • Providing administrative and clerical support to the Executive Director and Greening North Franklin team.
  • Scheduling appointments, meetings, and community advisory committee meetings.
  • Assisting with updates to the website and managing community feedback.
  • Handling incoming and outgoing phone calls, taking messages, and providing basic information.
  • Preparing and distributing memos, reports, and other documents.
  • Maintaining organized files and records.
  • Assisting with data entry and record keeping.
  • Managing calendars and assisting with time management.
  • Coordinating and communicating with the community and partners.
  • Assisting in other clerical tasks and administrative duties as assigned.
  • Assisting with event planning and coordination of meetings.

Requirements

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and other clerical software.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
  • Adaptability and the ability to handle changes and unexpected events.
  • Professionalism and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Team player with a positive attitude.
  • High school education/GED required.
  • California driver's license and own vehicle with liability insurance.
  • Must pass a background check through the Department of Justice.

Nice-to-haves
