About the position

The Recovery Clerk is responsible for managing inventory counts, processing damaged or defective merchandise, and ensuring compliance with club policies. This part-time role involves working collaboratively across departments to maintain inventory control and provide excellent service to members.

Responsibilities

• Execute departmental inventory counts and control cycles as prescribed by Home Office.
• Process and sort damaged or defective merchandise and returns to vendors.
• Obtain return authorizations from vendors and manage vendor chargebacks.
• Maintain accurate inventory status for damaged, defective, and returned merchandise.
• Conduct daily safety walks and ensure a clean and organized department.
• Re-wrap sellable merchandise according to packaging guidelines.
• Review daily return reports and process merchandise recalls.
• Support club policies and procedures while delivering service excellence.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic math skills required.
• Ability to complete required training and certification processes.

Nice-to-haves

• Forklift training skills (optional).
