About the position

The Regional Human Resources Manager will oversee HR functions across multiple locations in Louisiana, primarily based out of New Orleans. This role is crucial for aligning human resources strategies with business needs, providing support to managers and employees, and fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace. The position requires significant travel within the region and involves managing a team while addressing various HR challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Manage recruiting activities including posting positions, outreach, and interviewing candidates while ensuring compliance with OFCCP regulations.
  • Counsel managers and employees on performance management, including disciplinary actions and terminations.
  • Oversee HR generalist functions and assist with onboarding, payroll preparation, and maintaining employee information in the HRIS.
  • Advise on succession planning, individual development, and organizational structuring.
  • Utilize data to identify trends and develop action plans to improve employee experience and retention.
  • Collaborate with HR and internal partners to develop programs and policies.
  • Monitor compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Travel to divisions within the region, requiring 50% travel with some overnight stays.

Requirements

  • HRCI/SHRM Accreditation preferred.
  • BA/BS degree in business, human resources, or a related field preferred; work experience may substitute for education.
  • Eight years of progressive human resources experience, including employee relations, employment law, talent management, and recruiting, with at least two years in HR management.
  • Broad knowledge of HR principles and state and federal employment and labor laws.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to prepare written reports.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and deliver results.
  • Excellent computer skills in a network environment, particularly with Microsoft products; ADP experience is a plus.
  • Open availability and flexibility to work according to business needs.
