About the position

The Regional Safety Manager plays a crucial role in implementing and enforcing the corporate safety program across multiple facilities along the I-95 corridor. This position is responsible for guiding and coaching employees on safety practices, conducting safety audits, and collaborating with management to create a safe work environment. The manager will also participate in training programs and safety meetings to reinforce safety expectations and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform weekly safety audits at each location and review findings with employees and supervisors.
  • Assist plant teams in creating a safe work environment by implementing processes, procedures, and improvement plans.
  • Conduct site inspections and risk analyses, including job hazard analysis and noise/dust surveys.
  • Assist Plant and Operations Managers with injury/incident investigations and follow up on corrective actions.
  • Attend and participate in weekly and monthly safety meetings at each site.
  • Support plant supervision in implementing, revising, and enforcing safety programs.
  • Coordinate and participate in confined space training for plant and field service personnel.
  • Assist in managing and implementing company safety training programs and perform training on safety topics as required.
  • Work with management on weekly and monthly safety focus items, including HSE alerts and communications.
  • Assist with other tasks and projects to promote safety and improve plant functions.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of hands-on experience in the HS&E field in a manufacturing or construction environment.
  • OSHA 30 certification or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of OSHA 1910 General Industry & 1926 Construction standards.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing, and comfortable speaking in front of large groups.
  • Working knowledge of injury/incident investigations and processes.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Must reside in the continental U.S. within the I-95 corridor.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and ability to pass a background check.
