About the position

This is a fully virtual work-from-home sales position specifically for candidates residing in Florida and South Carolina. The role of the Sales Travel Representative with Travel + Leisure involves a combination of customer service and sales expertise to create memorable travel experiences for clients. Successful candidates will be required to report to one of the Florida or South Carolina locations for new hire paperwork on their first day and must meet the work-from-home requirements outlined by the company. In this position, you will take inbound calls from excited owners who are ready to plan their dream vacations. Your role will be to guide them through the booking process for various travel services, including car rentals, airfare, hotel reservations, cruises, and local experiences. As a Sales Travel Representative, you will be the go-to resource for owners, providing recommendations based on their interests and preferences to ensure a seamless travel planning experience. The position offers a pay rate starting at $16.50 per hour, along with monthly sales incentives based on performance. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, with weekends off, allowing for a healthy work-life balance. The expected start date for this position is October 4, 2024. Candidates should be prepared for a 5-week training schedule from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm EST, after which they will be available to work between 8:00 am and 8:00 pm EST, Monday to Friday, with a set schedule provided.

Responsibilities

  • Take inbound calls from owners ready to plan their vacations.
  • Guide clients through the booking process for car rentals, airfare, hotel reservations, cruises, and local experiences.
  • Provide recommendations based on clients' interests and preferences.
  • Establish rapport with clients and engage in meaningful conversations to understand their travel needs.
  • Offer additional services seamlessly during the booking process.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Proven sales experience of at least one year.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to establish rapport with clients.
  • Strong multitasking abilities to handle multiple tasks effectively under pressure.
  • Six months of customer service experience is required.
  • Six months of travel-related experience is preferred.
  • Intermediate-level proficiency with travel software programs such as Apollo, Sabre, or Worldspan.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in travel planning is a plus.
